It has been a month since I last blogged. I have made a couple of changes to my blog. I rewrote my About page. I removed book reviews and poetry. My last post was Cee’s Share Your World, so I thought it was a good place to start again. These are Cee’s questions for this week:
Do you prefer shopping or going to a park?
I buy almost all of my clothes online. I hate shopping, except for stationary and book stores; so I would rather go to the park. The type of park matters. I love parks with walking or hiking trails. A river is nice, too. I also really enjoy parks with gardens.
What is the highest score you’ve ever made in bowling? Actual or virtually played.
It has been a long time since I have been bowling. I grew up going to Loyle Lanes. I would stand at the line and roll an 8 pound bowling ball down the lane. They had miniature golf in the basement and a monkey in a cage. Sadly, the bowling alley was burned down a few years ago by a competitor. I barely scored over a 100. I am much better at Wii bowling, which I haven’t played in years, but I know I bowled over 200.
Name the foreign countries you’ve been to.
I’ve been to Canada. I don’t really like to travel. I don’t like to fly. I don’t have a passport.
Describe your own outlook on life in seven words or less.
Every day is new. Be yourself.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Last week I was grateful for my son’s Mother’s Day card, which always has a personal note telling me how much he appreciates me. He also sent me See’s candy – my favorite, and gave me a phone call. Since I only see him once or twice a year, I am very grateful for that. I spent time with my grandsons. I spent Sunday night with my daughter’s family – and we watched Game of Thrones together. I am really grateful for that every week. It is great to spend time together. I had some great conversations with my husband. I am always grateful for my therapist.
This week I am looking forward to blogging again – it has been a month. I am also looking forward to some “me” time this coming weekend.
